As if the last thing having to do with Unity hadn’t been bad enough, now…now, the entire complex itself was missing. Disappeared. Normally, the news might have delighted Sal. After all, Doctor William had always been…he wasn’t someone Sal cared about. They didn’t mind if he went missing, his research with him. Not…not inherently. Unfortunately, William was not the only one in the lab. Moreover, for all that Sal hated to admit it…he had done some debatably good things for kitvoren before. And this…this seemed Off. The world seemed to be standing still today. The gentle breeze that caressed the forest’s edge did nothing to alleviate the stillness, the way it felt like the world was holding its breath. Waiting.
